PRESERVING/PICKLING SALT
Our preserving and pickiling salt is exactly what you need for perfect preserves and pickles.
Normal table salt contains iodine which can discolour your preserves and pickles and an anti caking agent that will cause cloudiness.
This salt contains no additives to spoil the look and taste of your foods, it is pure unadultarated salt.
The texture of this salt is very fine crystals (no more than 1% are greater than .450mm) which means it dissolves more quickly than salts with larger crystals.
Some 'lumping' of this product may occur, this is perfectly normal and will not affect the end product.
PICKLING SPICES
We got tired of searching for commercially packaged pickling spices and then when we found them, they were only sold in small sachets and they often worked out to be around $200 per kg. Alternatively, we mixed our own but we always ended up a few bags of excess unused spices.
We have now blended our own from the best spices we could find in just the right proportions. The spices come in a sturdy airtight and resealable gusseted plastic bag so you can use what you need and then keep the rest fresh for use later.
Each bag of our picking spice mix comes with four reuseable cheesecloth drawstring spice bags. Two bags measure 75mm X 125mm (hold around one cup) and the other two are 100mm X 150mm. They are manufactured in the USA from unbleached cotton that has been grown and woven in the USA.
This product may contain traces of tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, sesame seeds and soy.
